DTRA CB Industry Day

The Chemical & Biological Technologies Directorate (CB) of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) will hold an Industry Day on Friday, November 19, 2010, as part of the 2010 CBD S&T Conference.

As an agency on the cutting edge of defense against the threat of weapons of mass destruction, DTRA frequently leverages the capabilities and expertise found in the private sector.  Therefore, DTRA strongly advocates relations with firms and businesses, including those that are small and disadvantaged, and other entities of interest.  DTRA CB Industry Day will highlight current and future science and technology (S&T) business opportunities, and how to pursue them. The briefings will also highlight:

• Specific opportunities that will be available over the next five years
• The direction of S&T within the Chemical Biological Defense Program (CBDP)
• Details on the Joint Service mid- and long-range S&T research
• Future S&T projections
• Emerging military requirements

Organizations will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with DTRA CB senior leaders and Science and Technology Managers responsible for overseeing the directorate’s portfolio.  Details on how to sign up for these meetings will be posted at a later date.

DTRA CB Industry Day is open to all conference registrants, and will be especially beneficial to current and aspiring performers and collaborators, as well as anyone interested in learning about the Department of Defense’s procurement and contracting processes.
